“Morning Hilary – hope you and all the members of COAT are keeping well.

The chicken farming is going from strength to strength. Lemlem gave 30 chickens from her (increasing flock) to Berhane to start a small enterprise in her part of the city and as you can see they are good layers. And with 133 girls and boys to care for now we need all the income from eggs we can get…

Rukungiri Orphan Partnership: £500  donated  for classroom furniture in July 2022 https://rop.uk.net/

“Our team has recently arrived back from Uganda where we support a Primary School… Your charity very kindly gave us a grant of £500 which was spent on classroom furniture. Here is a picture of it arriving in the school yard. The new furniture was much appreciated by the staff and children. So a big thank you to all your COAT members.”

Children of the Dump, Philippines: £110 donated towards Saturday tutorial sessions in July 2022 https://childrenofthedump.org.uk/

“Grapevine is an outreach sponsorship programme for gifted children like M…the family receive financial support for books and travel to school until M… completes her full time education…Crucially Children of the Dump covers the income that M… would otherwise earn helping her mum scavenge on the Dumps in Manila, allowing her to carry on her studies without the pressure of feeling she should be helping her family. Grapevine also ensures that M… is supported in her studies by professionally trained local teachers with extra Saturday morning tuition, as well as meeting regularly with a social worker who monitors her progress and overall wellbeing.”
